School: Central Valley Christian

Grade: Junior

He's qualified because: Three-time Bee All-Star reached quarterfinals of Central Section individual singles tournament, where he retired while leading Frontier's Tim Roe 6-4, 5-3 in order to leave for prior commitment. Gong, the Central Sequoia League champ and runner-up at the Visalia Invitational, finished 33-2 in singles and 10-0 in doubles, upping his career marks to 79-12 and 28-7, respectively. "Andrew is an excellent tennis player and probably an even better young man," CVC coach Ryan Toss said of Gong, on track to be school valedictorian next year. "I don't know where he finds the time to put so much into tennis and also be at the top of his class academically."
