Grade: Sophomore

He's qualified because: Widely regarded as Central Section's top player -- and one of best in Northern California -- but has not competed in individual singles tournament during his first two high school seasons because it conflicts with USTA event. Griffith went 17-0 in singles, 11-0 in doubles and led Clovis West to a fourth straight Division I title and a share of the Tri-River Athletic Conference crown. His career record stands at 36-0 in singles, 21-1 in doubles. "You always need a guy you can rely on and he's the guy we rely on," Golden Eagles coach Bryan Juinio said. "When he's in the lineup, teams know they are losing a point. He's intimidating."
