He's qualified because: Reached semifinals of Central Section individual tournament, losing to eventual champion Ryan Andrada of El Diamante before settling for fourth in tough 1-6,7-5, 6-4 loss to Frontier's Tim Roe. He improved on quarterfinal finish as a freshman, when he earned All-Bee honors. "He improved his game a great deal this year," Bears coach Jonathan Slater said. "He's always been consistent, but now he's hitting the ball with more power, and that's helped his game." The Tri-River Athletic Conference singles champion and Player of Year went 25-5 in singles, 5-4 in doubles for Division I team runner-up Bears.
