Events: 50 free, 100 free, 200 medley relay, 200 free relay

She's qualified because: Capped a stellar four-year aquatics career that featured a combined four appearances on All-Bee water polo or swimming teams by winning the Central Section D-I silver medal in the 50 free (24.00), a bronze in the 100 free (52.86) and helping the Apaches win golds in the 200 medley relay (1:51.65) and the 200 free relay (1:39.24). The relay wins were Sanger's first girls section titles since 1968. "I can't recall in four years her ever having a bad practice," Sanger coach Iain Patterson said. "When she got in the pool, she was full go. She never took a set off." Hatayama, who's headed to Fresno State, is a seven-time individual County/Metro Athletic Conference champ and holds the league record in the 50 free.
