Events: 200 free, 500 free, 200 free relay, 400 free relay

She's qualified because: Broke school record in the 500 free during first swim of her high school career and kept getting better, winning the event at the Central Section D-II Championships in a meet-record 5:11.78, the second fastest time between the D-I and D-II finals. Herrera was also second in the 200 free (school record 1:57.27) -- with the third-fastest time overall of the section finals -- and led Vikings' 400 free (3:41.38) and 200 free relays (1:47.45) to first- and third-place finishes, respectively. Was girls co-MVP of the Garces Invitational after winning 200 and 500 free. "She has a good understanding of her stroke, what's going on with it and what needs to be done in a particular race," Kingsburg coach Mike Manley said.
