She's qualified because: Reached the medal podium at the Central Section Division I Championships for second straight season, placing fifth with a score of 364.25. It was the best finish for a diver outside of Kern County. The Fresno State recruit was third at the D-I finals last season (364.05) and ninth as a sophomore. Ruth's senior season also included sixth-place finishes at the Clovis West Invitational and the Garces Invitational, and her first West Yosemite League title -- all while serving at Mt. Whitney's student body president. "She had a fantastic season," Pioneers diving coach Josh Curtis said. "With everything she had going on, she never missed a practice -- and that tells you a lot about her."
