She's qualified because: Earned silver medal in the 100 breast (1:08.41) and helped Sanger's 200 medley (1:51.65) and 200 free (1:39.24) relay teams capture gold as the Apaches tied for second as a team at the Central Section Division I Championships. The Fresno State-bound Washburn was also 10th in the 100 fly (1:04.00). She won the 100 breast at the Clovis West Invitational and County/Metro Athletic Conference meet, setting the league record. "She was a stalwart in the breast all season," Sanger coach Iain Patterson said. "I would attribute that to her work ethic. She had her best year in training of her four years. And she really came along in the freestyle. That's why we were able to have success in the relays."
