He’s qualified because: One of 10 medalists on the highest point-producing team champion in state tournament history, Ladd defeated Buchanan’s Racelis Cardenas 3-1 for fifth place at the state meet. Ladd’s postseason run included a runner-up finish at Masters, a third at Yosemite Divisionals and second in the Tri-River Athletic Conference. He was also first at Newbury Park, second at Zinkin, seventh at Doc Buchanan and third at Temecula Valley.
