He’s qualified because: Reached the state championship match, where he dropped a 3-1 decision to Oak Hill’s Robert Marchese, adding a silver to the seventh-place medal he won at 189 as a junior. Won six tournament titles (Masters, Yosemite Divisionals, Tri-River Athletic Conference, Mission San Jose, Doc Buchanan and Zinkin Classic) and placed second at another Temecula Valley. A first-team All-Bee selection in football, Gordon will play that sport next season at Fresno City College.
