Four central San Joaquin Valley students are National Merit Scholarship winners.

Kavana C. Gowda of Buchanan High School in Clovis, Lucas H. Karahadian of Clovis West High School in Fresno, Connor A. Denney of Lemoore Union High School in Lemoore and Darcy L. Thompson of El Diamante High School in Visalia will each get $2,500 from the National Merit Scholarship Corp.

The awards were announced Wednesday.
