A Fresno man was arrested Saturday on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine and an outstanding drug warrant, police said.

Officers with the Fresno Police Violent Crime Impact Team received information that a man wanted on a $290,000 felony drug warrant was hiding out at a home in the 3500 block of East Illinois Avenue, Fresno police Sgt. Carl McKnight said.

Officers arrested the 26-year-old man as he left the home, McKnight said.

Officers found a bag on the man containing crystal methamphetamine, McKnight said. The man was booked into Fresno County Jail on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and the drug warrant.
