The Cherry Avenue Auction will donate $20,000 to schools in six Fresno County districts based on Facebook "Likes," said spokeswoman Diana Jackin.

The contest, which starts today, will donate $1 to schools for every "Like" the school gets on Facebook, up until $20,000 is donated.

Cherry Avenue Auction donates money to local schools every year, co-owner Neil Burson said. The auction decided to let the community choose where the money goes this year.
