The Clovis teacher accused of sexually molesting one of his second-grade students is facing new charges.

The Fresno County District Attorney's Office on Tuesday filed a 45-count criminal complaint charging Neng Yang, 43, with oral copulation or sexual penetration with a child younger than 11 years old.

The complaint suggests incidents happened on four occasions, and may have begun as early as Dec. 8 -- nearly a month earlier than a federal investigative report suggested.

Yang, who taught at Freedom Elementary School in Clovis, already is in Fresno County Jail facing a federal child pornography charge. A federal investigator's statement released Monday said Yang used his darkened, empty classroom to take video of a blindfolded second-grade girl giving him oral sex.

The disturbing accounts and videos came to light after the victim's mother became suspicious because she could not see her daughter outside with the rest of her class in physical education at Freedom Elementary School last Thursday. Yang also was not with his class.

Yang was arrested on Friday after police confiscated his iPhone and computer equipment. He had been a teacher at Freedom Elementary since 2007.

Yang made a brief appearance Monday in U.S. District Court in Fresno, where he pleaded not guilty to a charge of producing child pornography. He is scheduled to be arraigned on the new charges at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in Fresno County Superior Court.
