• Sophomore Murshid Randle scored 19 points as No. 4 Central remained a game behind Buchanan in the TRAC by escaping with a 62-59 home-court win over the Central Section's defending Division II champion Clovis North.
• Matt Parker led four players in double figures with 19 points as No. 8 Clovis West bolted to a 40-24 lead en route to an 88-52 TRAC win at Clovis East.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

• No. 5 Edison rebounded from a County/Metro Athletic Conference loss at Bullard by having having 10 players score, led by Jobe Jones' 12, in a 69-16 dominance of Sanger.
• Brittaney Allison scored 16 points as Buchanan drilled No. 9 Clovis 56-42 to tie the Cougars for second place in the TRAC.

BOYS SOCCER

• Zach Esqueda and Kory Kisling scored as Clovis North beat Clovis 2-0 and joined a three-way tie with Central and Clovis West atop the TRAC.

GIRLS SOCCER

• Fourth-ranked Clovis beat No. 2 Clovis North 2-1 in a matchup of teams battling for second behind No. 1 Buchanan in the TRAC. Emma Rogers and Jessica Stacier scored for the Cougars, tied with the Broncos in league play at 5-2. Clovis North began the week 17-1-1 and No. 34 in the ESPN Powerade Fab 50 national rankings.
• Elise Krieghoff scored her 20th goal of the season as Buchanan -- No. 29 in the ESPN rankings -- beat Clovis East 3-0.
• Third-ranked Bullard survived a scare, making Cassandra Fasi's goal at about the 15th minute stand up in a 1-0 CMAC win over Sanger.
• Amber Mitchell volleyed a shot from outside the 18-yard mark over the keeper with 2:30 left in the second overtime period as McLane edged Fresno 2-1 in the North Yosemite League.
