He passed for 2,529 yards and 28 touchdowns and rushed for 633 and nine as the Tigers won the County/Metro Athletic Conference at 5-0, went 10-2 overall and reached the Division I semifinals. His performance in a come-from-behind 52-50 league win over Bullard — 327 yards passing, with three TDs and five conversion passes; 125 yards rushing, with a TD and hurdling of a defender with the outcome hanging in the balance — may have no rival in section history.
