GIRLS SOCCER

  • Madison Abbott, Natalie Bertolucci and Darby Emmons all scored in Central Section top-ranked Clovis North's 14th shutout of the season, 3-0 over Clovis East in the Tri-River Athletic Conference.
  • Elise Krieghoff scored and assisted Hannah Coyle for the winner in overtime to lift No. 2 Buchanan past Clovis West 2-1 as the Bears remained tied for first in the TRAC with Clovis North.
  • Jovinna Chalensouk-Khaosaat's goal was the difference as No. 4 Clovis topped No. 3 Central 1-0 in the TRAC.
  • No. 5 Bullard beat Sunnyside 12-0 for its 40th straight victory in the County/Metro Athletic Conference, as Cassi Fasi scored a hat trick and Jenna Thomason, Morgan Darling and Nicole Rascon added two goals apiece.

  • Kylee Hoelzel scored twice and No. 7 Liberty-Madera Ranchos downed Washington 6-0 in the North Sequoia League.
  • Natalya Ferdinandi's hat trick helped Memorial hold off Sanger 4-3 in the CMAC.
  • Mary Cruz Chapa scored once and assisted on two of Joanna Valtierra's three goals as Division VI top-ranked Orange Cove downed D-VI No. 3 Farmersville 4-1.
  • BOYS SOCCER

    • Dylan Rusconi and Matt Olmos scored and No. 1 Central posted its 12th shutout of the season in a 2-0 TRAC win over Clovis.
    • Ross Krieghoff and Derek Rhine scored as No. 2 Buchanan edged No. 8 Clovis West 2-1 in the TRAC.

    BOYS BASKETBALL

    • Aaric Armstead sank four 3-pointers en route to scoring 24 points in No. 1 Bullard's 82-41 nonleague win over Clovis.
    • T.J. Jackson scored 18 of his 20 points in the second half as No. 6 Clovis West pulled away from Hoover 70-45.
    • Alex Fertig topped the 2,000-point level for his career -- the 16th in section history to accomplish the feat -- scoring 27 to improve his total to 2,003 as No. 4 Buchanan rolled against Washington 84-48.

    GIRLS BASKETBALL

    • Sonji Green's 18 points powered No. 7 Edison to a 67-36 nonleague win over No. 6 Buchanan.
    • Danyelle Jones scored 13 points as Kerman held off a fourth-quarter comeback to beat Mendota 50-48.
    • WRESTLING

      • Clovis -- behind quarterfinalists Jonas Gaytan (120 pounds), Daniel Gaytan (126), Jason Ladd (145), Colby Thompson (152), Zach Nevills (170), Ryan Davies (182), Dakota Gordon (195) and Nick Nevills (285) -- sits in second behind Poway, 115.5-112, after the first day of the Temecula Valley Invitational. Other area wrestlers in the quarters are: Lemoore's Sean Williams (113), Dillan Rocha (138), Isaiah Martinez (152) and Nate Lopez (182); Exeter's Arnulfo Olea (113) and Caleb Alvarado (160); and Clovis East's Chris Tamez (113) and Patrick Phaysamone (138).
