More students apply to UC Merced

The University of California at Merced received more than 15,000 undergraduate applicants for the fall 2012 semester, a 10% increase over last year. Projected enrollment for the fall is 5,600, about 400 students more than in 2011.

UC Merced also received more than 2,200 transfer student applications. Graduate applications are due Sunday.
