He’s qualified because: The most dominant player on the section’s most dominant team — statistically, at least — the West Sierra League MVP burst onto the scene by rushing for 2,063 yards and scoring 39 touchdowns as the Aztecs went 12-0 and won the first Central Section football title (Division VI) in the school’s 18-year history. As a linebacker, he had 90 tackles, five sacks, four interceptions, six forced fumbles and four recoveries. And he also starred special teams for Mendota, which averaged 48.6 points while winning by an average margin of 39.9.
