He’s qualified because: Arguably the section’s premier male student-athlete as the TRAC Player of the Year in football, state-class wrestler and successful in classroom (3.5 grade-point average), he was a close runner-up as Bee Player of the Year. The three-year starter dominated both as nose tackle on defense and, ultimately, as a running back following teammate Yoon Conner’s leg injury. “He was amazing to watch,” Cougars coach Rich Hammond says. “His motor to go made him involved in what seemed like every play.”
