Brophy Hiatt

Vitals: Golden West, senior, line

Highlight: Two-way dominating tackle, he finished second in coaches voting for West Yosemite League Lineman of the Year.

Joey Kunkel

Vitals: Exeter, senior, line

Highlight: Two-way All-Central Sequoia League selection was a force coming off the edge on defense and also rushed for 1,517 yards and 24 touchdowns.

Connor Martinez

Vitals: Buchanan, junior, line

Highlight: His 11 sacks and 23 tackles for losses while coming off the edge rank among the best in school history.

Andrew Rios

Vitals: Kingsburg, senior, line

Highlight: Three-year starting defensive tackle averaged 6.4 tackles per game, scored three touchdowns as a fullback and, above all, checks out with three section rings.

Brandon Wright

Vitals: Edison, junior, line

Highlight: At 6-1, 320, he plugged the interior, made All-County/Metro Athletic Conference for the 10-2 league champion and set stage for spotlight senior season.

Ryan Davies

Vitals: Clovis, senior, linebacker

Highlight: If there’s an overqualified Bee second-teamer, here he is as a three-year starter, run-stopper, bright (4.3 GPA), All-Tri-River Athletic Conference pick and likely headed to Stanford to wrestle.

Josh Lang

Vitals: Clovis West, senior, linebacker

Highlight: With 130 tackles, he had 50 more than his nearest teammate, and the All-Tri-River Athletic Conference selection did it all while somewhat restricted with a repaired knee.

Jake Rouch

Vitals: Kingsburg, senior, linebacker

Highlight: Two-way All-Central Sequoia League selection and team MVP for repeat Central Section Division III champion rushed for 785 yards and 11 touchdowns, caught 20 passes, averaged 5.1 tackles and intercepted two passes.

Tyler Bates

Vitals: Madera, senior, defensive back

Highlight: All-County/Metro Athletic Conference selection dominated as a 6-1, 210-pound safety in addition to averaging 9.9 yards per carry rushing and 21.3 yards receiving in part-time offensive play.

DeVaughn Gaines

Vitals: Chowchilla, junior, defensive back

Highlight: One of the section’s most productive two-way players, he averaged 6.3 tackles and, as the North Sequoia League’s Offensive Player of the Year, passed for 906 yards and 11 touchdowns and rushed for another 1,069 and 13 scores.

Matt Lea

Vitals: Central, senior, defensive back

Highlight: Three-year All-Tri-River Athletic Conference selection at safety and linebacker has committed to UNLV.

Arnold Lopez

Vitals: Clovis North, junior, defensive back

Highlight: Aggressive safety had eight tackles in D-II championship win at Garces and finished second on the team only to Bee All-Star David Ford with 103 for the season.

Vadal McDonald

Vitals: Edison, senior, defensive back

Highlight: Lockdown cornerback owned his side of the field, including against Bee All-Star receiver William Stallworth of Tulare in playoffs, and also made several big plays as a receiver.

Bobby Peele

Vitals: Edison, senior, defensive back

Highlight: All-County/Metro Athletic Conference rover delivered a series of game-changing plays defensively and offensively while helping power Tigers into Central Section Division I semis.

Devon Gomez

Vitals: Golden West, senior, all-purpose

Highlight: Had 44 tackles, three interceptions and a lot more — namely, a remarkable five kickoff returns for touchdowns while averaging 34.7 on 25 attempts. Averaged 9.2 yards per rush.
