Highlight: Three-year starter led Emperors to Central Section Division III title as a sophomore, an 11-1 record as Central Sequoia League MVP this year and exits with 5,077 career yards passing and 58 touchdowns — 32 this season.

Chris Cain

Vitals: Washington, senior, quarterback

Highlight: It wasn’t all teammate and Bee Player of the Year Deontay Greenberry, evident in Cain’s 2,757 passing yards, 35 touchdowns and only six interceptions.

Christian Rossi

Vitals: Clovis North, junior, quarterback

Highlight: Joins Edison’s Khari McGee as the Central Section’s triggermen to watch in 2012 after passing for 2,027 yards and 18 touchdowns, with only six interceptions, in nine games as All-Tri-River Athletic Conference pick for the Division II titlist.

Errian Wingfield

Vitals: Sunnyside, junior, running back

Highlight: In year of the running back in the section, All-County/Metro Athletic Conference choice figured prominently with 2,054 yards and 23 touchdowns.

Deandre Daise

Vitals: Lemoore, senior, running back

Highlight: Rushed for 1,914 yards and 22 touchdowns, and also made All-West Yosemite League as a linebacker.

Donald Caballero

Vitals: Madera South, senior, running back/defensive back

Highlight: Fifteen touchdowns, two-way excellence and leadership in historic season for North Yosemite League champs. “He’s why we went 11-2,” coach Scott Donegan says.

Trevor Price

Vitals: Kingsburg, senior, wide receiver

Highlight: Ranked among state leaders with 29.7-yard receiving average on 31 catches, including 13 touchdowns, and was game MVP with phenomenal two-way performance in a Central Section Division III final win over favored Ridgeview.

Andrew Worthley

Vitals: Dinuba, senior, wide receiver

Highlight: Caught 56 passes for 1,015 yards and 14 touchdowns, will finish top 10 in his class academically and has been invited by Stanford to come aboard as a walk-on.

Jermal Clark

Vitals: Mt. Whitney, senior, all-purpose

Highlight: Did it all, and well — 43 receptions for 802 yard, 123 rushing yards, 1,906 all-purpose yards, 15 touchdowns, including four on kickoff returns and five interceptions.

Highlight: West Yosemite League Lineman of the Year will receive annual Christmas cards from teammate Deandre Daise, who rushed for nearly 2,000 yards.

Highlight: All-Tri-River Athletic Conference selection should set Central Section standards up front as a senior.

Chris Chavez

Vitals: Bullard, senior, line

Highlight: Relentless player and All-County/Metro Athletic Conference selection who quarterbacked the Knights’ front at center.

Art Mendez

Vitals: Coalinga, senior, kicker

Highlight: So good, so long on his kickoffs — only five of which were not touchbacks all season — Horned Toads fans stood when the All-Central Sequoia League selection launched. One even clanked off the upright.
