A man police describe as a prolific burglar was taken into custody early Wednesday at a Fresno mobile home park where he was trying to sell stolen televisions. The mobile home park is located in the 3500 block of North Duke Avenue.

Police spokesman Donald Gross said the 46-year-old is a suspect in burglaries at several Fresno motels as well as others in Madera, Chowchilla, Clovis and Kingsburg. Police say the suspect gained access to motels and hotels through public entrances, then would check for open rooms, where he took televisions, electronic devices and personal items left by guests.

He was booked into Fresno County Jail on charges of burglary, possession of counterfeit money, possession of forged documents and possession of controlled substances.
