He’s qualified because: A first-team All-Tri-River Athletic Conference and All-Valley Division I selection, Hong helped lead the Golden Eagles to a second straight Central Section Division I championship. Hong’s 55 goals on the season included two in Clovis West’s 13-11 overtime victory over Buchanan for the title. Described as a tenacious, well-rounded player with a solid outside shot by Golden Eagles coach Stephen Mosher. Being recruited by Cal Lutheran; exploring options at Concordia, UC San Diego and Redlands.
