He's qualified because: Team captain and impact leader has figured prominently in three Stallions section team titles -- in D-III in 2009 and D-II the past two seasons. His 15:47 for 18th place at the Clovis Invitational was eighth best in the section for the season and led his team to a fifth-place finish, ahead of section powers Stockdale (sixth) and Brazeal-less Buchanan (12th). He also finished seventh in section D-II (16:27) and 36th in state (15:59).
