San Joaquin Valley College students donated gifts to 74 children this year as part of the Christmas Stars Program on the Visalia campus, said Kerrie Liles, dean of Student Services at SJVC.

For several years, SJVC students, staff and faculty have been buying gifts for students who cannot afford to buy presents for their child or children, Liles said. Twenty-four families benefitted from the college's Christmas Stars program.

Children with parents in SJVC's business, medical or technology programs are eligible.
