Tim Murphy -- who led Clovis East to an 82-39 record, two Central Section titles and six Tri-River Athletic Conference crowns in 10 seasons -- has taken over as coach at Hunter High in West Valley City, Utah. Murphy, who resigned as Timberwolves coach in November after a 1-9 season, had been rumored to be a candidate for the vacancy at Central. He'll begin teaching at the Utah school on Jan. 17, according to The Deseret News. "[Hunter] is a lot like the two other schools I've coached," Murphy -- who coached at Ygnacio Valley-Concord before Clovis East -- told the newspaper. "I really liked what I saw -- the atmosphere, and I really clicked well with the principal, John Welburn."
