School: Hanford West

Class: Senior

Position: Pitcher/third base

He's qualified because: Has very glossy numbers – .381 average, 26 runs, 20 RBIs, 2-1 pitching record with four saves, 2.23 ERA, 36 strikeouts and zero walks in 47 innings.

His most remarkable single number could be found in his left foot (one broken bone) in the fourth-seeded Huskies' 9-6 win at No. 2 Madera South for the Central Section Division III title.

He had suffered the injury fouling a ball off the foot in the fourth inning of a 5-4 semifinal victory over top-seeded Fresno. Yet in the championship, he still went 3 for 4 with two RBIs and earned the save with 2 1/3 shutout innings.

He departs with school records in career average (.367) and runs (69), and single-season hits (43) and saves.
