School: Buchanan

Class: Senior

Position: Second base

He's qualified because: Overcame a season-opening high ankle sprain that cost him nine games to deliver an all-around performance that challenged for Bee POY honors.

He hit .415, scored 30 runs, stole 13 bases and played the best second base defense in the section.

His value when it mattered can be seen in combined stats in the Bears' past two Division I championship games: 4 for 7, three runs, a triple and a double.
