He's qualified because: North Yosemite League Player of the Year.

He closed a four-year varsity career by going 10-3 with a 1.49 ERA, striking out 120 with only 31 walks in 89 innings.

Pitched a three-hitter against eventual Division III champion Hanford West in the semifinals, but lost 5-4 on two unearned runs in the seventh inning.

Also a third baseman whom Buchanan coach Tom Donald batted fourth for the City in the City/County All-Star Game, he hit .411 with nine home runs, 38 RBIs and 30 runs.

He finished with 23 wins and 97 hits in his career.
