JAMES BRAGER

Vitals: Madera, senior

Highlight: County/Metro Athletic Conference co-Player of the Year and near-miss Bee first-team All-Star, the four-year varsity veteran rebounded from double elbow injury to go 7-3 with a 1.25 and 69 strikeouts in 59 2/3 innings and hit .283. Beat Division II champion Frontier 4-1 on a neutral field in April without giving up an earned run, and no one threw with more electricity in the City/County All-Star Game.

ZACK DOMINGUES

Vitals: El Diamante, senior

Highlight: Leaves his signature as one of Tulare/Kings counties premier middle infielders after a four-year career that saw him make All-West Yosemite League after hitting .448 with a .564 on-base percentage this season for the league champion.

OMAR HERNANDEZ

Vitals: McLane, junior

Highlight: Runner-up to Fresno's Devin White as North Yosemite League Player of the Year, the left-hander established himself as an ace – anywhere – by striking out 112 in 70 innings and hitting .414 with 28 RBIs.

DEONDRE HOWARD

Vitals: Edison, sophomore

Highlight: A lefty feared for the next two seasons and a threat for CMAC Player of the Year honors as a sophomore this spring, he went 7-7 with a 2.14 ERA and 91 strikeouts in 94 2/3 innings. Included was a complete game, 4-3 conquest of top-seeded Madera for the No. 9 Tigers in the D-II quarterfinals. He also hit .315 and stole 18 bases.

TANNER IRWIN

Vitals: Hanford West, junior

Highlight: Playing pitcher, third base and outfield, son of former Hanford star Lou Irwin established himself on the Central Section 2012 marquee by hitting .352 with 24 runs, 22 RBIs, six homers and 12 steals, along with a 7-3 pitching record, 2.73 ERA and school-record 88 strikeouts in 74 1/3 innings for D-III champion.

JIMMY JURADO

Vitals: Clovis, senior

Highlight: Two-year force coming out of the Tri-River Athletic Conference for a Cougars team that won 40 games in the process. Left-hander went 9-2 with a 1.78 ERA and 106 strikeouts in 74 2/3 innings this season against the best competition the section could offer.

BLAKE LACEY

Vitals: Clovis, junior

Highlight: Making the nine-member All-TRAC first team as a junior shortstop is rare, yet Lacey pulled it off after combining exceptional defense with a .320 average, 29 runs and 26 RBIs out of the leadoff hole.

CHRISTIAN PARRA

Vitals: Buchanan, senior

Highlight: Similarly valuable – given his on-field production and leadership – than four teammates with higher Bee All-Star honors, the right fielder hit .394 with a team-high 13 doubles and 24 RBIs.

BLAKE QUINN

Vitals: Bullard, junior

Highlight: Earned CMAC Pitcher of the Year honors and established momentum for a promising Knights 2012 season by giving up only 41 hits and striking out 87 in 64 2/3 innings for a 1.84 ERA.

CARLOS SALAZAR

Vitals: Kerman, sophomore

Highlight: North Sequoia League Underclassman of the Year hit .394, drove in 33 runs and went 6-0 with an 0.22 ERA, giving up six hits total to 123 batters. Beat eventual D-III champion Hanford West 1-0 with a one-hitter.

PRESTON SCOTT

Vitals: Hanford, junior

Highlight: Among the section players to watch in 2012, if he hasn't already been the past two seasons, the All-West Yosemite League shortstop hit .479 with 36 runs, 32 RBIs and 12 doubles, a triple and seven home runs.

ZAK TAYLOR

Vitals: Madera, junior

Highlight: All-County/Metro Athletic Conference shortstop laid the groundwork for his fourth season as a varsity starter by hitting .402, stealing 11 bases and fielding .982.

MICHAEL TITTLE

Vitals: Clovis North, senior

Highlight: Impact as three-year varsity player in the County/Metro and Tri-River athletic conferences speaks volumes: .371 average, 112 hits, 88 runs, 19 doubles and 21 stolen bases. Checked out as a senior middle infielder/center fielder with a .426 average, 40 hits and 20 runs.

ANTHONY VALLE

CONNOR WEST

Vitals: Hanford, senior

Highlight: One of the Central Section's fastest outfielders, the All-WYL selection hit .489 with 46 hits, 35 runs, 24 RBIs and 10 steals in addition to a 4-3 record and 2.33 ERA on the mound.

CHISHOLM WITT

Vitals: Coalinga, senior

Highlight: Catcher made a strong impression on County coach Brad Fontes in the City/County All-Star process after hitting .446 and being walked 23 times in 23 games for a .627 on-base percentage. Also hit .478 as a junior.
