She's qualified because: Departs to the desert and Arizona State as the combined most accomplished cross country and track and field female distance runner in Central Valley history.
Mission Prep-San Luis Obispo's Jordan Hasay, while formerly competing in the Central Section, didn't have Central Valley roots.
And Bricks exceeded what former Bear Lauren Saylor and 1979 North graduate Linda Goen did overall.
This spring, Bricks won the Central Section Masters Championships 1,600 and 3,200, and placed fifth in the state 3,200.
The Bee's two-time girls cross country Runner of the Year leaves ranked second in the 3,200 (10:22.67) and fourth in the 1,600 (4:55.09) in section history.
She also ran the section's third-fastest 800 (2:16.56) this season.
