Year: Freshman

Events: 50 free, 500 free, 200 free relay, 400 free relay

She's qualified because: Brooks, also a national-class age-group water polo player, showed her swimming prowess at opposite ends of the endurance spectrum.

She won the 50 free in 24.41 and placed second in the 500 free in 5:05.73 at the Central Section championships.

Was nearly 2 seconds faster in the 500 free than any of the five other underclassmen in the A final.

Swam second leg on title-winning 200 free relay team (1:39.15) and was the anchor of champion 400 relay team (3:35.16).
