Thunder, hail possible in Valley today

March 21, 2011

The National Weather Service in Hanford has issued an advisory for possible isolated thunderstorms with brief heavy rains and small hail over the San Joaquin Valley until sunset today.

Weak funnel clouds also are possible but are not expected to reach the ground, the weather service said.

There should be a brief break in rainfall Tuesday before a series of storms rolls over the Valley the rest of the week.
