  Chris Bruton of Visalia is The Bee's College Basketball Bracket Challenge up-front winner by a narrow margin, scoring 242 points -- two more than the runner-up.

  "I didn't even know I was in the running," said Bruton, who won in the part of the contest that required all picks throughout the bracket to be made ahead of the NCAA Tournament's first game. "This is the first time I've ever won anything."
