She's qualified because: Followed a monster junior season in track and field (state gold medals in the long and triple jumps along with a silver in the 100) with an impressive senior season in volleyball, finishing with 483 kills and 377 digs.
The first-team All-Tri River Athletic Conference performer, who's headed to Oregon on a track scholarship, also contributed 62 blocks, 50 aces and 12 assists for the Cougars, who reached the Central Section Division I quarterfinals.
He said it: "She was phenomenal for us this year. We put a lot of weight on her shoulders and she carried this team very well. We wouldn't have been half as successful as we were this year without her. Offensively and defensively, she led our team in about every category. She's naturally gifted with athleticism most people don't have. That itself puts her a step ahead of everyone. She has a great attitude and cares about improving and helping her teammates improve." – Clovis coach Richard Lake.
