And it was at the Clovis Invitational that she actually beat Buchanan's Macy Bricks, The Bee's two-time Runner of the Year.
Fry also placed fifth in the CIF State Championship Division IV race (18:03) after coasting to the Central Section D-IV title (18:47) by 1 minute and 12 seconds.
He said it: "It's hard to say what would have happened if she was pushed every week like girls from the Fresno area and Southern California. No telling what would have happened if she was exposed to high competition more often.
