Two Fresno County schools Thursday were named to the 2010 National Blue Ribbon Schools list.

Centerville Elementary in Sanger Unified School District and Jefferson Elementary in Clovis Unified were among 21 public schools in California that earned the award.

Nationwide, 304 schools were announced as winners by Arne Duncan, U.S. education secretary.

Among 1,011 students who underwent voluntary drug testing recently through the Fresno County Office of Education, only 3% tested positive.

Six districts -- Central, Clovis, Kingsburg, Fowler, Laton and Washington Union -- and their 16 high schools participated. The enrollment includes 5,837 students.
