Clovis Farmer's Market is being extended for seven weeks.
The downtown Clovis market was scheduled to end Friday, but Clovis City Council members Tuesday night granted an extension through the end of October.
For the fall, the farmer's market is one block north and south along Pollasky Avenue, about half the size of the summer market.
The Business Organization of Old Town's board wanted to try the smaller farmer's market for the fall to examine whether it continues to bring crowds to downtown Clovis on Friday nights, said Shawn Miller, the city's business development manager.
"It will not be a `certified' farmer's market,'" he said. "But there will still be some growers and entertainment on a much smaller scale."
