Clovis East graduate Chris Colfer and Clovis West graduate Josh Figgs failed to pick up Emmys at "The 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards" on Sunday night.
Colfer lost in the category of best supporting actor in a comedy series to Eric Stonestreet of "Modern Family," another first-time Emmy nominee.
Figgs, one of the producers of "Dancing with the Stars," saw his show lose to "Top Chef" in the outstanding reality competition program category.
Colfer earned the Emmy nomination for his first professional acting role as the flamboyant Kurt Hummel on the Fox series "Glee." The role was created by executive producer Ryan Murphy specifically for Colfer.
Other nominees in his category were: Neil Patrick Harris, "How I Met Your Mother"; Jon Cryer, "Two and a Half Men"; Jesse Tyler Ferguson, "Modern Family"; and Ty Burrell, "Modern Family."
