He's qualified because: Career .451 hitter for teams that went 85-12 and won section D-V titles his freshman, sophomore and senior seasons. He didn't play as a junior because of a knee injury suffered that school year in football. This season, he hit .516 (48-for-93), scored 36 runs and drove in 27. He also pitched all three seasons, the first two of which the Redcats finished ranked No. 1 in the the state in their division. This year, they finished No. 7. He was also twice named second-team Bee All-Star in football.
He said it: "We knew as a freshman he was going to swing the bat well and, had he been healthy for four years, he might have set a section career record for hits. He's just very athletic, brought a great work ethic to the field and gave you consistent play." Redcats coach Bill Feaver
