Vitals: Clovis West, senior, infield
She's qualified because: First baseman/third baseman was one of most feared hitters in Central Section. Ohio State-bound Gresham hit .385 with 12 doubles, a triple and eight home runs while knocking in 33 runs and scoring 24, earning first-team All-Tri-River Athletic Conference honors for the third straight season. Her slugging percentage was .709 and she hit .410 with runners in scoring position. Four-year varsity starter and two-time All-Bee selection also pitched as a senior, going 8-5 with a 0.77 ERA in 91.1 innings.
He said it: "I've known her since she was in the third grade, and I've seen her work real hard. She studies pitchers. She works on the game constantly. People pitched around her quite a bit this year. For her to have the stats she had, especially in our league, where people have seen her for four years, is really great."
