Vitals: Hanford, junior, guard

Need to know: The Bee’s 2009 Player of the Year and a narrow miss to Clovis West’s Brianna Orlich for this season’s award, Parrish’s floor leadership at point guard led the Bullpups to a 31-4 record.

Helped lead team to a third straight section title and a No. 8 state ranking by Cal-Hi Sports.

Generally playing less than half the game on a team that outscored the opposition by an average of 43 points, she averaged 14.8 points, 7.2 assists, 4.5 steals and 3.4 rebounds.

It’s hard for me as a parent; to me, it’s just an automatic expectation.” — Bullpups coach Tom Parrish.
