BOYS SOCCER
Fernando Sanchez scored two goals as No. 8 Sunnyside closed in on the NYL title by beating McLane 5-2. The Wildcats would clinch at least a title tie with a win Thursday against Memorial.

Jorge Lomeli scored twice as No. 6 Central rolled to a 3-2 TRAC win over Madera, No. 3 in Division I.

Joey Pazzi's goal off Preston Collins' assist in the 68th minute lifted No. 3 Buchanan to a 2-1 TRAC victory over Clovis.

Connor Billings' first-half goal was all that Clovis West would need in a 3-0 TRAC win over Clovis East.

Mitchell Friesen's goal with 12 minutes remaining in the match sent Yosemite past Kerman 1-0 in the North Sequoia League.

Emmanuel Aguilar scored for No. 7 Kingsburg as the Vikings managed a 1-1 Central Sequoia League tie against Coalinga.

No. 2 Farmersville won its 12th straight game as Rogelio Ramirez scored his 24th goal of the year in a 4-2 win over Lindsay.
