THE BUZZ

Three teams in the Top 10 (Tulare Western, Buchanan and Avenal) and four others ranked divisional (Clovis West, Madera South, Shafter and Riverdale) lost last week to shake up in the rankings.

With Tulare Western getting tripped up by crosstown rival Tulare 3-2 last week, Farmersville -- riding an 11-game winning streak -- moves up to No. 2.

THE BUZZ

Buchanan's path toward the Tri-River Athletic Conference title -- a likely top seed in the Division I playoffs -- got a lot clearer following a 4-1 victory over No. 3 Clovis West last week. The Bears, ranked seventh in the nation in the ESPN Fab 50 poll, can clinch no worse than a tie for the TRAC title with a win Wednesday at Clovis.

Tulare Western breaks into the rankings this week following a 3-0 win over previously 10th-ranked Tulare.
