Coaches to vie for award at Hot Stove

Baseball coaches Tom Donald of Buchanan and Cliff Rold of Edison, and Clovis North softball coach Shannon Gorton are finalists for the Hot Stove Coach of the Year Award that will be handed out at the annual banquet Feb. 4 at the downtown Holiday Inn.

Last season, Donald led the Bears to a 24-5-1 record and a No. 1 playoff seed, Rold guided the Tigers to the Division II title (the program's first in its 84-year history), and Gorton took the first-year Broncos to the D-III semifinals.
