Fresno band Styles Like Revelators is made up of four 19-22-year-olds, but the music they're making sounds at least twice that.

Heavy with classic rock influence, the band mixes blues and rock in a way that ought to make White Stripes fans happy. They're also not afraid to bring a little harmonica to the party.

Started by brothers Christopher and Nicholas Navarro (who both play guitar and sing), Styles Like Revelators also includes Matt Willis on bass and Zak Parrish on drums.

The band plays Tuesday at Starline, 831 Fern Ave., with Santa Barbara band Tommy & The High Pilots. Showtime is 9 p.m. Cover is $5. The band also has upcoming gigs at Audie's Olympic (on Feb. 5 and March 25) and Gottschalk Music (March 20).

We talked to the band to learn more about its style, its plans for an album and more:

Give us the CliffsNotes version of how the band started. Christopher and Nicholas started the band in 2007 after the end of their previous band, Babys on Fire. Matt and Zak joined the band in late 2008.

Describe your style and influences. The style is bluesy rock and roll. Our influences include The Rolling Stones, Jack White, The Colour, The Mars Volta, The Faces and The Black Keys.

You guys are young dudes, but have a definite classic rock influence; where does that come from? Your dads? We were raised on bands like Aerosmith and The Stones so yeah, the classic stuff has a pretty noticeable presence in our sound.

What separates your band from other rock bands in Fresno? Harmonica? We wear cowboy boots when we play. ... The harmonicas help too.

How did you come up with the band's name? We got the idea for the name from the White Stripes album "De Stijl" (French for The Style), the Sparrow Love Crew song "Style Like This," and the Son House song "John the Revelator."

I hear you guys are working on recording an album. What can you tell us? When should people expect it? Yeah, we're recording a 13-track CD that should be available this February. We've put a lot of time and effort into it, and we've got two great local artists, Erik Beltran (erikbeltran.blogspot.com) and Bob Pero (bobbygord.tumblr.com), on board for the album art.

In exactly 13 words, tell us about your live performance. A big ruckus in a small room, slow grind and a fast tune
