She's qualified because: Set up a duel with Bullard's Marisa Gonzalez for years to come by placing fifth in the section meet (18:16) and 25th in the state (18:27). That was the third-best time for a freshman at state. Following the lead of older brother and fellow Bee All-Star Heath Reedy, she placed fourth in the Tri-River Athletic Conference (18:38).
He said it: "Chip off the old block, no two ways about it. Just like her older brother, she never wants to lose; she wants to beat everybody. And, sometimes, we have to hold her back. She's talented and, man, what a tough kid." Bears coach Marty Simpson.
