Traffic lanes at two Fresno locations were closed for hours Monday because of natural gas leaks.

A gas line rupture that was reported at 1:30 p.m. closed Clovis Avenue from Tulare Avenue to Kings Canyon Road for several hours. Traffic resumed about 6 p.m.

Meanwhile, westbound lanes of Shaw Avenue between Palm and Maroa avenues were closed because of a gas leak, officials said. Fire officials said late Monday that the road had reopened to traffic and there were no further reports of gas leak problems.
