Buchanan 20, Clovis East 17
Top-ranked Buchanan High kept its perfect season rolling by the thinnest of margins Friday night, kicking a field goal on the last play of the game to beat No. 15 Clovis East 20-17 at Lamonica Stadium.

The Bears (8-0, 4-0 Tri-River Athletic Conference) rallied to tie the score 17-17 in the fourth quarter on Jordan Luplow's first field goal, a 36-yarder, then consumed the final 5:06 of the game to set up Luplow's winning 30-yarder.

The winning drive was aided by a 15-yard gain on fourth-and-4 -- but also included a holding penalty on a touchdown on second-and-goal and a sack on third down that lengthened the field-goal try.
