A 29-year-old Fresno man who police said fought two officers with his fists was arrested early Monday in central Fresno.

The fight began after officers went to the 3000 block of West Weldon Avenue just after midnight to check on a domestic-violence report, police said.

The officers found the man and a 16-year-old boy sitting in a SUV in the driveway of a home. Police said the man got out, warned officers he had a gun in his waistband and made motions as if to reach for it. The officers grabbed the man's arms and a struggle began.

Police said the man punched one officer in the face repeatedly before he was subdued as other officers arrived.

No gun was found. The man was was booked into Fresno County Jail on suspicion of felony battery on a police officer. The 16-year-old was cited on a charge of interfering with officers.
